Loki's role in Norse mythology has been debated over the years which some have described as that of a trickster god. Loki has been depicted in or is referenced in a variety of media in modern popular culture.
In American pop culture, Loki was created for Marvel Comics by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby in October of 1962.
